A restaurant worker suffering from suicidal depression decides to give himself a week long change to find a will to live.
My favourite premiere at the EIFF 2026. The film begins as a nihilistic all-or-nothing journey and becomes as a visceral representation of severe depression and helplessness that feels so real and tangible I almost felt triggered. The visual mental detachment with VHS footage and trying to find the reason to continue living, mixed with the excellent performance of George MacKay creates an unforgettable film.
